I painted this scene in pastel quite a while ago. Actually before I switched to oils. It has been one of the most requested prints. I went to the same spot on the Lake and the redbud tree was blooming just as it did in the pastel painting. The only thing missing in the scene was Rascal, the J24 sailboat. Having painted Rascal many times, I was able to add it. My husband crewed on the boat for years during the Spring and Fall races.
